Today we are going to talk about the consumer reports no. 1 rated and reviewed vehicles sold on North America, the Toyota Motor Vehicles.
Toyota North America is not only the most reliable brand that we see in terms of longevity but the least service here is Saul’s Automotive in terms of frequency of repairs outside of regular maintenance service.
Today, we have a 2006 Toyota 4Runner that is coming in with some basic maintenance service on it. It’s got eleven years and 195 thousand miles. Not so bad that has been for service for over a decade and beyond the industries standard life expectancy of 10 years for 150,000 miles.
We’ve been doing some research on our own to see why Toyota does not need many services, as far as frequency of maintenance goes. The real reason is that Toyota has engineered their product so that it needs less maintenance involves, a high quality of parts used, and even though those parts are a little bit cost prohibitive the end result is a more reliable, longer lasting vehicle.
The goal for you as a consumer is, you want to be on the road. You don’t want to be here in the shop.
Our goals is always to make sure that we gave the best advise and keep you on the longest lasting vehicles on the road.
We’d love to tell you to buy this maker, that maker, another one and say that there are some great reasons or great push behind it. The reality of it is if you want something that is reliable, long lasting and is not going to leave you stranded, the Toyota Vehicles are the least frequency of used service.
The only brand that beat them and gets passed them in consumer reports is Lexus, which is a division of Toyota’s own brand. It is their own luxury department.
Lexus Motor Vehicles are only branded as such in the United States worldwide. Toyota sells all of their base mid-luxury models under the nameplate Toyota.
Here in the United States, We get two different name badges; Toyota and Lexus as independence to delineate between the more cost-effective or cheaper consumer model vs expensive executive models.
Literally, the only reason they do such is to give a different dealership, a different way to make a different sales point.
When you look at the reviews, you look at the rating or you want to find which is lasting or longest, this is truly the longest lasting thing that we’ve ever seen come in.
In the case of this vehicle like this after twelve years and 190 thousand miles, the only service that it is getting is a recommended maintenance services, a basic water pump service and some basic rubber components that are designed to break down over time.
